My Story of becoming a therapist

Hi everyone, and welcome to my site!

My name is Vanessa and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist born in the Czech Republic. Fun fact about me is I used to be a tennis player. However, I injured myself and was not able to continue with the sport and that is how I got into psychology.

I graduated with my masters degree from Manhattan College and my research paper consisted of "The Effect of Self-esteem on a Decision of Women to Stay in Abusive Relationships".

I love working with individuals, couples, families and I love sports psychology. I have experience working with diverse groups of people, including children, young adults, and adults. I wish to create a safe space for my clients to be able to share their inner thoughts and feelings. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to work through their difficulties in life and I want to find the best ways for my clients to get through difficult times. I would like to help couples and families have fulfilling relationships and bring them closer together by working together and finding the best ways for clients to reach their goals. I personally believe that mental health is just as important as physical health.
